Twin Peaks: Chasing A Blue Rose - What's It All About

Twin Peaks: Chasing A Blue Rose is a fanfic series written by myself, Charlotte Nightstar (aka real author name Ashyn T). This series begins with The Birdwatcher, introducing us to our main protagonist Special F.B.I. Agent Cheryll J. Preslocke (aka Agent Birdwatcher) and is based in the middle of Season 2, right after the death of Leland Palmer. Cooper pursues her expertise to find BOB and also revives past feelings of fondness for each other. Preslocke, having been in Ghostwood Forest for a few years, has been watching the woods for careful analysis and inspection for the Blue Rose Taskforce. And she's more than just a Special F.B.I. Agent than what she seems.

The start of the actual series, Twin Peaks: Chasing A Blue Rose (Part I) is based right after Season 2. Cooper is trapped in the Black Lodge and Agent Preslocke goes through horrible experiences. Though she barely survives each attempt at her life, she still comes back stronger than ever, enough to even protect those who mean so much to her, and even Cooper, in Twin Peaks.

Twin Peaks: Chasing A Blue Rose (Part II) continues, following more horrific events, the rescue of a character whom Cooper was very fond of in the original series, and the rise of more mystery that would soon lead to The Return as each Part of the series continues. Many dark alternatives are made. A new game of chess to the Lodges and the entities is played, and Preslocke is the one player who'll continue to play, no matter what they do to break her down and make her lose. Even as the new arrival to the game is dressed in red rather than black and white.

The latter will be continued with special characters arriving to assist Preslocke and the Twin Peaks police force. Also, many new shocking, horrifying, dark, sweet, and daring events as the time elapses to Cooper's desired and anticipated release.

If you haven't read the series and are interested, feel free to read them on Archives Of Our Own with this link: Twin Peaks: Chasing A Blue Rose fanfic series  For those who have read and enjoyed them, thank you for your attention and patience. :)

My mission is to continue the series from the gap between Season 2 and The Return and perhaps expand further after The Return ends. I'm hoping to continue so everyone has something to read and enjoy as they wait for a hopeful Season 4 or just a continuation to be satisfied with if nothing happens. I also hope with this fanfic series, that the spirit of Lynchian and Twin Peaks love lives on and never dies. It's something that digs really deep into our souls and hearts. And Twin Peaks was the show that brought so many of us together in spirit.

If this series isn't your cup of damn fine coffee, that's alright. No hard feelings. Besides, it's a series based on what I, and others in this beloved community, assume could've happened. Since there are so many alternative realities as revealed in The Return, I don't think anything is one thing... even the original series. So, with this fanfic series, it could be an alternative reality or many. Wherever these alternative realities may come from or take place, they certainly make life and storytelling much more interesting and mysterious.

I try to make sure there isn't much cheesiness within the stories as some Twin Peaks fanfics (and other fandoms, for that matter) can be. I like to be an advancement forward and what happens, happens in the orders they come to mind. I was once told I had some mindset of David Lynch, like sharing the same brainwaves of creativity, abstractions, and treating ideas like fish. Though I know I'll never be Lynch or ever predict his moves in his game of storytelling chess, I'm still honored to have some spirit that he has passed on through his life-changing legacy. I hope there are many many more influenced by his spirit to keep it dwelling in the world or alternative reality. If not, the purity of all storytelling, art, music, and love for such things are doomed to the masses of the dull and unimaginative.
